The only thing I do not like about them is if one returns to the desktop for any reason while FS9 is running, then brings back the FS9 screen AA is lost...  At least this is true with Xp X64. I do not know if it happens with XPx32 as of yet.

Bringing up the CCC and resetting AA restores the AA in FS9.

Even with that issue the 6.4 drivers appear to provide a smoother flight than the 6.2's and 6.3's

No only the X series, so you 9x and below are kinda screwed. Stay with 5.11 or 5.12

PS: Thanks nick just got back from installing. My CS frames are also better with these.

Well we are not talking a drastic change, more like a 2~3 FPS better. However the reason I was commenting was that HDR light maps have better support with these.

Well John they 9X, 8X, and 7X are supported YES, HOWEVER, I would not recommend those products use anything over the 5.13 drivers. The newer ones offer features that the older cards cores dont have, or will slow down the GPU pretty dratically.

@Ramos: Have fun with the new HDR stuff ;)

The corrupt RTD issue I mentioned in my second post is only seen with x800 series cards... the 6.1's are the last set to not display the issue. I put in a ticket with ATI about it but I am not going to hold my breath in getting anything more than a generic "its your fault, not ours" response.

I reverted back to the 6.1's because I cant stand the RTD issue.

CT,

Do you know that it will slow down a 9800XT card... or are you assuming that from "general extrapolated knowledge"?  (ie. - do you have first hand experience with this?)

I'd hate to have to revert back to the earlier drivers .....ATI installs/ uninstalls are a pain in the butt.

best,

I find that performance loss does not occur.  Just fixes for bugs.  Sometimes they make some code more efficient and performance increases can occur, but this is rare.

I just got this driver and already have a problem!  It wont let me turn on Adaptive AA!  Last time the same thing happened, but there was a way for me to make it give me it, but I forgot what to do.

Could someone show me how?  Im trying to dig up the old thread, but I dont remember where it was or when it was.
