Whats the rest of the system like? The nVidia 6 series is very good but if your previous card was a geforce2 then it's likely the rest of your system won't keep up and so much of it would be wasted. I would recommend something in the geforce 4 or 5 range. It would return a huge improvement and wouldn't outstrip the rest of your system by too much (assuming it's the same age as the previous card).

That'll do. With those specs no harm would come of buying a geforce 6 if you can get one within your price range. Though before you do, make sure your motherboard has PCIe otherwise you could be dissapointed when it comes to actually installing it.

something like a 6600gt would improve your flight simming no end   ;D

and with that cpu your motherboard will have PCI and AGP slots but no PCI-E slots.  you need to get an AGP card such as this 6600gt:

Grr both of you stop. For about $180 (70GBP) you can get a 7300 from nVidia, or you could get a 6800 Ultra.

Cheers

Does the 7300 come in AGP?

With that CPU a 6600GT would be good.  A 6600LE is at best half as fast as a 6600GT. ;)

He has an AGP slot so the 7x00's are not viable or any of the 6x00 PCE-express series.  A 6800 will be bottle necked as well.
