     Good morning Guys and Ladies,

From waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy   back in the dark corners of my cave,      BRAND NEW STUFF  filters in like a bright light beam that hurts my eyes.   ;D

What is and how do you "work" this  NEW STUFF called "Macromedia Flash"  ?       I suspect that  it,s  some of that new fangled stuff with pictures in it . ;D

I  installed  the  latest version of "Macromedia Flash".
I  filled out a "join You Tube" account form .
I  read most of the "how to dos".
I  clicked on "add to favorites".
I  am still in the dark as to how to view the "pictures". ;D
     I  am "signed in"
I  see an  " info message "saying the video is not available.

     help   ;D          caveman

Are you referring to the ability to view Cameron's tutorial video?

Don't despair caveman, I go through the same difficult and confusing situations as you, believe me, you're not alone.

Normally you just install flash player as stand alone, perhaps delete it and re-install it from the maker's link.

http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/dow ... kwaveFlash

DO NOT install the Yahoo toolbar, uncheck the option. Never install toolbars, they are almost always hidden spyware.

After you have flash player, you shouldn't have to do anything else to be able to view the files, it's all automatic.

The fact that the flashplayer download is a web only installation is suspect and the pre-checked yahoo toolbar installation is further evidence of this, treat the installation as suspect, view the files you want to view and delete flashplayer if you have no further use for it.

Flashplayer is used extensively for all kinds of animations through web pages, it's a terrible thing to have such a useful utility tainted by such aweful ramifications as spyware.

I just hope you haven't been "infected" with some more hidden software lurking in the shadows in the attempt to download a supposedly legitimate application.

Bundling such software with spyware is just a low act in the absence of a real business plan.

Hey Congo,       Thanks for your concern.    This very reason is why I'm keeping this "thing" of a PC.      I  really  don't think this PC could go any slower if it was loaded down with everything out there.   ;D  [Ten min just for startup ]

Sure don't want to get my "NEW"  PC messed up.   Still can't get  the info from Cameron .     [ no giveup in me  tho  ;D ]

Wishing you a good evening                          caveman
