Postby VVM » Mon Mar 20, 2006 5:23 pm

hi everyone.  i need your help with valuing a pc i have.  its an old Gateway.

The spec is:

P3 600Mhz
256MB ram
80gd hard disc
16mb nVidia graphics card (i cant be more specific)
Windows 98 SE

Someone in my dads work is interested in it for a second pc that he can use to write documents etc.  It also comes with a genuine Windows 98 SE disc, MS Works Suite 99, keyboard and mouse.  Any ideas what I should ask for i coz I really have no idea.  I realise im not going to get a lot for it.

Many thanks,

Scott

Another stroll down memory lane (sorry, I'm bored)...

I can remember saying, "If they ever break the 100mghz barrier.. I'll get one of these "new fast" computers. The jump from 33mghz to 66mghz had us all oooo-ing and aaaah-ing.. joking we'd all have to wear foils suits to protect ourselves from the micro-wave radiation.

$150 seems fair.. though

EDIT:  Is Candle really gone ?    ;D

Yes sir. He openly admited to alot of things he shouldn't have. Such as being arrested for illeagly useing MS products. Also alot of why he was here (basically to try to run me out). No he is just a freaky little troll with a few self image problems.

But ya thets also the Vista/fsx? thread got locked, was because Fish and he had gotten into a huge argument, and Candle tried to back up one of his points, failed, and now may be looking at a heafty fine from MS and his beloved "WinVistaSecrets" also may be inqury from MS as none of those guys are licenced beta testers for MS.

Cheers
