Candle I am going to side with congo and ask you politely to shut up. He knows a hell of alot more than you think he does. Also he has something you dont, EXPIRENCE. He has actually used the parts that he recommends ithor in his own rig or his mates. Yay you spend days reading reviews, but no two systems are alike. So out of reviews all you can get is a basic idea of what the product should do, you have to actually use it to know what it does. Yes he and I both recommend higher end hardware, we both know people arn't made of money. However when I read your advice many times I just scoff. You reccomend less than adequet parts for peoples rigs. With this board what you fail to realise is that many people want to get preformance right out of the box, not have to sit and tweak until they get what they could have gotten had they spent $100 more. Also many of the people who are on here are in their mid 30s ~ Fozzer. So when they upgrade they want to do it big, as the wife will only allow it once a decade.

Alos another thing that really pisses me off is the way you came on to this board. You can't earn respect by demanding it, you must earn it. AP earned his, congo the same, and I came along too. Basically sit down, shut up, and when you give advice back it up with links.

God where is AP when you need him? I miss him so dearly.

Cheers

I understand that you and congo have been here longer, the point is, I give advice on systems that can be gotten on a budget and preform quite well. The reviews may be the cream of the crop usally, unless you sit and read new egg product reviews also submitted by others. Now I ask you why if someone gets there goal they ask for, why is that wrong. If you tell me what you want to do, I'll tell you what you need. And no offesne you are 15 and havn't been working at this as long as i have. I work part time in a coumpter shop so please dont patronize me. I have every clue what I'm talking about, I am a poor power user its that simple. I know what does what, and if you want to do something I can tell you what you do and do not need. If you have plenty of cash to blow on it fine, but most people don't want to blow 2000 bucks when they could spend say 400. The advice of you and Congo are those of a power user, mine is one of someone taht works in the bussiness. I sell these things, parts and all, along with repair them, so please do not insult me.

You insult yourself Candle, simply by opening your mouth. You don't use the software or hardware that is relevant to this board or if you do, you have no idea what it is capable of. You are coming in here discussing irrelevant ideas that are outdated by several years and possibly misleading people into wasting their money and you are certainly wasting all of our time.

We've spent countless hours here helping people make the right (and also the cheapest) choices or configuration changes while you were still crawling around under your rock.

I don't care if I get banned for telling you either, because you are degrading this forum to the point where it no longer provides any value to anyone. I'll simply go where I can actually help people without your interference.

To get back to the topic at hand. http://hothardware.com/viewarticle.aspx ... =791&cid=2

The ATi card still holds the crown. Its not by much, however they are still on the throne. The only thing this new line of cards has done for nVidia is really sway the mid range market for it. Now the true question is wether the 7600GT can out do the X800GTO. But looks like I'm going to need to wate for the next gen GPU charts to come out.

Cheers

As for non cohernt, well I'm not really sure what you mean there, but I assure you I do fully understand what I type, and have personal experince within hardware.

It doesnt matter if YOU understand what you type, what matters is if the person you are trying to help understands what you are typing.

p.s. Congo does know what hes talking about, hes helped me make the right decision regarding hardware seceral times, now im sitting happily with a 6600gt that runs fine :D instead of an overheating 9800 pro >:(
And thats not the only occasion hes helped me with my computer

He very well may have helped out plenty of people and he seems to know what he says, I simply am saying that some of the recomendations are based on overly expensive gear. I do respect congo, it is cj I do not, as he has an ovbious bias towards AMD and Nvidia, and I doubt would recomend either to anyone, even if they are faster. After reading his posts I can find he always recomends the x800gt and intel for a system never the Nvidia or amd parts that benchmarks time and agian show to be supior. Just some advice the X800gt is faster than the 6800GS because it is less advanced, that is the simple hard fact. Its using 9700pro arcitecture, thats why I wont recomend an x800 card to anyone, they were out dated the day they came out, and ATI lead you to think they were new. Now Nvidia never pulled this, the G70 internally is still known as NV47, even in windows vista it shows as NV47 so Nvidia is making a clear statement 7800 and 7900 are just refinements of there 6800 brothers. Also CJ really hasn't been around long enough to really grasp what he says. I do read what congo says and often do agree, but will recomend lower spec hardware that can do the same with less framerate simply for those on a budget. Congo can tell you what costs a hefty price but also does the job, I simply put what can do it on a budget with a drop in FPS but not below playable. As for CJ very rarely does he make any good hardware judgements, and that is my opion and as someone that has helped alot of ppl on other forums, including http://winvistasecrets.com ; http://forums.amd.com/ ; and http://mvktech.net get what they need, I feel justified in telling anyone who reads this what will work on a budget, some would rather spend less money and achive the same goal.

yeah I know, that congo goes WAY over the budget sometimes :D (but then everyone does...its more fun that way)
Im not saying that you dont know things about computers altough I've never received your advice on matters to me (this is sounding like some disclaimer) I'll take your word that you know a good bit about computers.

Candle,

You spend a lot of time talking about how much CTJOYCE despises nVidia, and how immature and stupid that makes him seem, and yet you come across even worse? Just the other way around (You hate ATI).

I do not know much about hardware, and I do not care much about it. I just read this post, and felt I needed to say this.

Now, I'll go to bed.
