Got the X530!

Postby Alphajet_Enthusiast » Tue Feb 14, 2006 10:24 am

Got it last night! The great thing is it came with the adapter thing so that I can also connect it to my Xbox 360! Project Gotham Racing 3 sounds godly!  :)

Although when I connect it to my PC, when playing stuff in iTunes only the front 2/3 speakers seem to make any noise and similar in Flight Simulator.

In other games like in Call of Duty 2 the rear speakers do make quite a bit of noise but not as much as I'd like them to. Can I change this? I have a soundblaster live! 24bit soundcard supporting to Dolby 7.1 whereas the X530 is Dolby 5.1.

Other than that, they are awesome speakers!
Very easy to install, amazingly clear (and LOUD!) and also wall mountable.

One of my recommendations!

Arnt they great?  ;D 8) The problem your haveing is a software / hardware one, and isn't the speakers. I have this problem too.

Well, thats why I got a new pc a while back, so all would work at top level.
Installed all the drivers properly and now its working fantastically!  8)

Rear speakers are always quiet ones..... They add in effects and dont really make much noise, I learned this setting up my grandmothers 100W DVD/Speaker system....... So your front (left/right) Make the majority of noise, and the Center too..... the rear ones just add in effects, nothing else usually except maybe music! Cheers, Gunny

You can set in the EAX console I belive set it to Surround Sterio or something like that. It puts equal sound through all speakers not realistic but great for music. I know that Creatives Utils have a place to calibrate the speakers and adjust the sound but I can't remember where and my drivers are uninstalled because they got messed up somehow and have yet to reinstall.
