Monitor help needed

Postby simmaniac87 » Sat Jan 28, 2006 1:44 am

I just bought a 16 by 9 HD monitor for my computer and now my plane look awesome! :D  There is one problem, my 2D panels are very streached out.  Does anyone know if there is a way to get them back to a 4 by 3 standard size when I am looking at the 2D?  Is ther a way to clip the sides of the 2D panels so I do not see the sky around them?  Also, can I do this for just the 2D view?

Have you checked to see that your screen resolution setting in the sim is the same as your desktop resolution?

Yes, everything else is good.  My VC ,tower and external views are not streched out.  Only the panel is distorted.

Are you using one of the standard 4 X 3 screen resolutions; 640 X 480, 800 X 600 or 1024 X 768, both on the desktop and inthe Sim...?

Many of the 2D panel panel bit-maps are designed as either 800 X 600 or 1024 X 768.

Does the problem occur with all the 2D panels in all the aircraft...?

Cheers ...!

Most freeware panels are made for 1024 x 768 resolutions, and get stretched on higher resolutions.

I think you need a reinstall of FS or your drivers M8
