Did you change your card settings? Not in fs, but actually in the nVidia panel?

Cheers

Cameron,Thanks for the reply. Yes I changed that setting right after I found out about it. My Brother-Inlaw bought the same machine at the same time and has the same problems. This seems to be a temprature problem, because the longer we run theFS9 the worse the stabilty of the graphics. The case has all the normal fans running on the high settings. The core temp on the main chip set never goes above 39c.

Check your GPU heatsink. You may be cooking your card. Also whats the timings on your RAM. You may have gotten crappy RAM, and thats whats doing it. Also where did you buy this from? Some sites are better than others.

Thanks again Cameron. The CPU in the Antec has an exhaust fan, and hood just above the heat sinks with a good size fan at the rear of the case. The 7800GT has a plastic housing (with intake hole)covering it's fan,and heat sinks on the card. The memory stick's are Kingston(2x1024),and as for the timing I am not sure what you are asking. I have tried changing the settings in my virtual memory settings several times, and is set at 6144 Initial, and Maximum. I had the system built by a local, well known shop. They have orderd another card (7800GT) but they also want to try a smaller card to make sure the rest of the hardware will work in FS9. I will bring up your idea's with them tomorrow.

Check the GPU core temp? , I recently built a rig of similar spec but it was a single core CPU (same clock speed as yours) and the 7800GT card was cranking out around 100 FPS with sliders maxed, so it's definately not the Specification unless that 7800 you have is a real pile of junk. Coming from BFG, I would think the card would be reasonable.

Try testing the rig with 3DMark'05 or something and see if it's the sim that is the problem or if you are suffering bad performance in general.
