New Joystick - Forcefeedback question

Postby ross607 » Tue Jan 10, 2006 5:46 am

Hey Guys,

I have been out of the Flight Sim loop for about a year or so, but have just purchased Falcon 4 Allied Force and with the promise of FSX on the (distant!) horizon I'm getting back into things, but need to start upgrading some hardware now!

I really need a new Joystick - The Saitek X52 looks amazing and I know it has received favourable reviews but as I understand it, the stick doesn't have force feedback correct?  I've never had a FF stick before and I REALLY wanted to try one, I want to feel the rumble on the tarmac!!! ... are there any decent sticks with FF out there?  Does anyone here use a stick thats enabled with FF?  Is it any good? I'm just looking for some views, opinions, recommendations etc.

Cheers in advance

Ross  :)

You could do far worse than to find a cheap Microsoft Force Feedback Stick on E-Bay

I have one, great joysticks, I've already sourced a replacement from E-Bay, should this one break. (Sadly, Microsoft no longer make them :( )

Force Feedback is a little bit gimmicky - it okay if you a flying combat sims but if it is just GA flying I would go for the X52.

Just a personal opinion :)
