Neither, I dont take Pentium for gaming, and AMD athlon dual core.... Who needs a Dual core? Just be a massive waste at present, if you waited a while yet for the new Sockets etc you could get much more for your money, a 512 meg graphics? Another 'the more you see the better they go' Advertisements to make companies money and very little performance increase (256 Nvidia Geforce 7800 would do better prolly) Onboard sound, out of the question, usually sucks beyond belief and massive crackling issues I'd go with BARE minimum a budget Creative 5.1.... as for the speakers, with a 7.1 onboard, The 2.1 would be pretty much worthless, you'd need at LEAST a 4.1 to make 'surround feel' everything else looks to be ok on the AMD system, But I wouldnt waste my money on it, Comps that are built like that always have software BUILT IN and you cannot do a true format and if you need to, your screwed, if your hard drive kicks, your screwed...... Basically, Build it yourself and learn, I understand you dont want to, but its just like sticking the pieces in a puzzle, Cheers, Gunny (and no offence meant about the selections you made either)
