Joystick Issue

Postby Rachet1031 » Mon Jan 02, 2006 10:07 am

I just recently bought a new Saitek joystick because I thought my old one was going out. But the prob still remains. On certain addon aircraft just the slightest input (mainly the elavators) makes it rise or turn (what ever the input is) drastically. Then I noticed this not a problem on certain addon aircraft and none of the stock A/c have the problem. I have made several adjustment to the stick (null zones etc) with no apparent diffrerence. Was wondering if any one else has had this problem. Or could it be in the AC config file. If thats the cas Im at a loss LOL. Anyways thanks for responses.

I have had a similer problem - but I don't think it is the joystick as I have tried several (Saitek, Logitech, Microsoft). I think it is a glitch although it is somewhat annoying ::)

Probably off base here, but are the a/c you're having the probs with the smaller aircraft? Smaller a/c respond much quicker to input from the joystick. Also it may be an issue of how you have the joystick clibrated - with the software that came with the stick and control settings in FS.

Hope you work it out in any case. Good luck

Thanks for the responses, Its not all aircraft, and like townof_hgate I dont think its the stick now, (Got a new stick out it though) The two main aircraft that I really notice it on is Milton Shupe,s AC500 and Mike stones 727 but not limited to just these two.. So its the two extremes (big and small) and both are recognized designers.  Guess I got some playing to do with the settings. Thanks again for the responses. And any suggestions would be apprecciated.

Forgot to mention the old stick was a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 stick and the new one is a Saitek Cyborg EVO Force.
Thanks again.
