Compaq Presario 900 Soundcard?

Hi everyone,
Just a shout out for a friend of mine - Does anyone know what soundcard comes with a compaq presario 900 series laptop? I don't know the specific model number or anything, so any information would be great. My friend accidentally deleted the soundcard drivers from his laptop, and now he can't figure out which card he's got on his pc.
Any help would be much appreciated, especially if it means he doesn't have to resort to wiping and reinstalling everything.

It could be anything in there, most likely some flavour of onboard graphics chip.

Use a system analysis program to find the GPU type, you could type "dxdiag" at the Start/Run menu, and check the contents of the Display tab's page.

I tried 'dxdiag', and I tried checking the device manager but dxdiag didn't show any soundcard at all and the device manager didn't show anything.  ???

The HP site has audio drivers for the 900 series laptop.
