Joystick Troubles

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro 2 Joystick, hasnt really been used in the last 6 months, As I am Just returning to the flight sim world from the 'Real' World  ;D The problem is the main axis (this stick itself) Is loose, very loose, is there a way to tighten it or am I in for a new stick? its about 3-4 years old! I'd say it's time to upgrade.  Mine's starting to go too, and as far as I know, it's not repairable.  Only temporary solution would be to tweak the curves in the settings if it's exerting enough pressure when neutral to cause a bank or pitch-up. I'm picking up an x52 pretty quick, as they've gone down a bit in price.

Thats what I was thinking, New stick, I'll prolly ebay a FF or same one, I think its permenantly broke, oh well, Guess I'll have to deal for now! Cheers, thanks for reply
