two sound cards!

So...two sound cards are awesome..

Got a freebie used one at the local pc store and installed it today so now I can have my engines coming through my desktop speakers and teamspeak only coming through the headset!

It's amazing what one can do if they set their mind to it....

I did this over a year ago, online combat just didnt cut it with my comms blaring through my speakers, although I was told that it couldnt be done or if you did run a onboard and hardware sound card you would mess up Windows I still to this day prove the naysayers wrong.
Key is not to set your onboard (or whatever being used for comms) set at full acceleration via DX settings.

When simming, I have the environmental sounds routed through my Edirol UA-5 to my amp, voice comms with my Logitech USB headset, and at times I have music playing from my onboard via a pair of speakers mounted in the ceiling.
