I doubt any high end and expensive CPU's are going to make a significant impact on FS9 over what you would get with a single cored and much cheaper Athlon64 3500+.

I mean really, if I threw a 7800GT on this 3500+ based rig, I'm going to see FPS shoot through the visually noticeable threshold, any more is a waste. But hey, if you are willing to spend thousands on a 10% edge, then it's your money.

Plus, I'm getting envious of your intentions and want to know who I have to kill to get that cool kit.

If your gonna drop a 1000 bucks ona CPU, drop it on an AMD dual core X2400 or FX-57.

These chips rule the gaming world.

For gfx card, I recommend the holy grail of gfx cards, the x1800 xt, which actually won't be out until the nov 5. But trust me when I say its well worth the wait.

The X2 uses two CPU cores to boost performance in multi-tasking or software that supports dual cores.

Each seperate X2 core runs slower than the equivalent single core CPU.

I don't recommend X2 cpu's to anyone unless they have a specific use for one, or they just wish to experiment.

Most apps will only use a single core of the X2, wasting the other's potential.

You don't need an expensive FX cpu either. The regular Athlon 64 series of cpu's are very powerful processors.

Saying that, I recommend a minimum of a 3500+, unless you plan on overclocking it to the max, in which case a lesser speed may be desired.
