Hot Wireless router solution!

Postby congo » Mon Oct 17, 2005 7:23 pm

My new wireless was really hot inside it's case, totally inadequate ventilation.

I made a new case out of some old timber venetian blinds and a hot glue gun.

No heat problems........... then I shouldn't need a warranty.

LOL.

What were the average temps? I couldn't have been that hot.

The hottest equiment I've seen are cisco 4000 routers, but not even thouse things get hot enough to replace the entire casing with open ventilation.

But hey, whatever works. Now that you've gotten it some better cooling, why not try overclocking it. Believe it or not, thats entirely possible. Let me see if I can dig up the link. (BTW, you won't see any substantial performence increase, but hey, that never stopped me).
