Finally getting an upgrade

Postby congo » Thu Jul 14, 2005 2:45 am

I sold my current rig and I have to deliver it on Monday so I ordered my new parts today..... if Australia Post is as reliable as ever, they should be here in the morning! I love next day service!

I'll have to take it away with me to work and build it in my spare time over the weekend. No internet connection there, so I'll let you know how it went next week.

I bought an Asus A8N SLI mobo, 64bit 3500+ venice cored CPU and a Leadtek 6600GT video card. Before you think I'm a tightwad, that little lot set me

Looks like a nice setup youve got going there. Go with a Zalman heatsink to seriously O/C that AMD.

Hope your FS looks good.

Wow!

What a nice bit of hardware. I'm stoked to say the least.

I accidently left it underclocked tonight (from earlier testing of the CPU multipliers) and hosted/flew IL2FB/PF and FS9 and didn't even notice the difference it's so fast!

Pretty amazing when you can slow the thing down and still get smooth flying in heavy addon scenery.

Congo happy!    ;D
