Just go with something that has HT tech. The nice thing about this is that you get dual core preformance, however at a single core price. Its very convienient because windows allous you to decide which "core" you run on.
LMAO. That is the stupidest statement I have ever heard, no offense.
Hyper threading does not give you dual core performence. Not even close.
Hyperthreading simply allows a CPU to emulate another 'CPU'. This other virtual CPU uses unused resources to run another thread. Since most of the time, a CPU will not use 100% of its resources. For example, lets say a game uses 60% of your CPU. The other 40% does nothing, thats a waste. Hyperthreading allows another program or thread to recognize that 40% as a CPU and 'use' it as if it were another physical CPU. If your games uses 100% CPU, hyperthreading does nothing. Hyperthreading is a more efficient use of CPU resources, thats all.
But if you have a dual core and a game uses 100% CPU of one core, you still have another core available to you.
BTW, like dual cores, the OS must support hyperthreading and the application must make use of it.
