SATA Hard Drive

Hi,

some weeks ago I bought a brand new HITACHI 80GB SATA II (with SATA interface max speed of 300 MB/sec ) but I noticed that all the diagnostic programs I tried reported that disc connected to the primary EIDE channel running at 133 MB/sec (U-ATA6 ) even though it's connected to the first SATA channel and it should run at 150 MB/sec (my mobo is an ASUS P4P800-S i848 ).
Why so? Can somebody suggest me a good program to check SATA channels and hard drives?
My configuration is the following:

CPU P4 2,8 GHzfsb 533 MHz
MB Asus P4P800-S i848 chipset
RAM 768 MB PC2700
HD Hitachi 80 GB SATA II (boot disk, 1st SATA channel, master)
HD Maxtor 60 GB EIDE (1st EIDE channel, master)
HD IBM Deskstar 30GB (1st EIDE channel, slave)
DVD ROM NEC 16-48 (2nd EIDE channel, master)
CDRW Waitec 52x24x52 (2nd EIDE channel, slave)
SAPPHIRE 9600 PRO Advantage 128 MB
Creative SB Live! 5.1
Windows XP Pro SP1
