Postby USMC_BEANS » Tue Mar 29, 2005 3:50 pm

I am going to be buying 1gig of RAM and I need to know if there is a significant difference between PC3200 and PC2700.  Thanks.

Its faster, and will give you less hastle when you overclocking it. Other than that not too much.

Whether or not the speed difference will be significant depends on your motherboard and CPU. It has the potential to make a real difference depending on how your hardware is configured.

In any case, the higher specification should be bought because it could be of use when you decide to upgrade further.

PC3200, try and get low latency Ram, and not the cheap and nasty stuff.
