two screen for better flying

Postby andycabs44 » Fri Dec 31, 2004 2:44 am

::)I use FS98 and would like to use two screen(Monitors): one for the copckipt and a second one for the outside scenery.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible? If so how to do it.

Than you all.

How about checking out the Home built cockpit section...;-)

Lots of information already listed there on everything..

Sorry I don't have an answer..

I don't think that possible with stock fs98, such a option must be written into the software itself. The program must be written to tell the computer which moniter tosends certain info to.

The best you could do is split the screen amoung two moniters (I.e 1 half would ocupy the left moniter and 1 half would occupy the right moniter).

BTW, there mgiht be an add-on that lets you do this, but I highly doubt it.

Windowed mode panel on one, full screen cockpit view on the other monitor

Windows has native Dual-screen support since Win98SE came out

really? I cant get mine to do it. would you need a video card with 2 outputs, or could you use your card for one, and your onboard video for the other?

Yes, you'll need a dualhead.

Adding an AGP card disables on-board video, or so I'm told - I'm not too sure if PCI ones do or not, though.

PCI dosnt, I can plug into one or the other and they work, just not at the same time. Dosnt matter, If I can avoid further difficulties, my new system with its new double output GeForce card will be up soon.
