Be careful going to high! some mobo's get a bit funny with really high speed stuff even though it does de-clock it. PC4000 (500FSB I think) is more than enough I would say at the moment.
Unlocking CPU's requires you to make alterations to your CPU by means of soldering usually or somthing similar! There is no way I am gonna get anywhere near my CPU with a soldering iron or anything in matter of fact. I am just gonna get me some PC4000 which will enable me to set somthing like 250*10 which will give me 2.5Ghz and a nice high FSB. High FSB is good! makes things work faster. If you bench and just raise FSB you get quite noticeable effects! If you have an A64 dont forget to lower th HT value too. Mine is at present HT=5. You are aiming to mulitply your HT by your FSB and it to equal 1000. Thus my FSB is 200*5=1000. With it set to 250 I would want HT to be 4, 250*4=1000. By all means try it with a higher number, i.e. 5 as if that does work it should theoretically be quicker, but if you get unstability drop it to 4.
