Frozen

Postby hiflyphil » Fri Aug 20, 2004 3:23 am

Hi everyone... ;D

Just a warning

My system, AMD Xp 2500+, 400 Mb memory on a Asrock Motherboard, 80Gb Seagate HDD.

I've just downloaded and installed DX9.0c and Nvidea 61.77 drivers, because FS9 kept restarting my system or freezing up.  Whichever is at fault, has now frozen my computer on the Windows Xp welcome screen.

So now here comes yet another re-install :-/

Has anyone else had this, be interested to know.

See you after the re-boot.
(Oh PS this is the wifes PC in case your wondering how I can write messages on a frozen PC  :D)

All best
Phil

Possible dodgy stick of ram? if you got two remove the one in slot one and run on one stick see if that solves it.

I run DX9c and 61.77drivers and my pc runs sweetly.

Did you make sure all traces of old nvidia drivers were gone? maybe you got some sort of confliction thing going on.
