how to select a joystick

been using fs9 and ms usb joystick no problems
just installed real flight & xmtr in game port

fs now wants to use stick in game port not usb stick
( found this out at about 140 kts about 2/3 way down runway   .....   )

if i go into fs settings to pick stick the high lite bar always flips back to real flight xmtr .......

what do i need to do?

Hi, Might have to get rid of old joy-sticks programs or add the new one to the games programs, never mind Stay safe, Ray

found a solution

go into device manager and disable game port before starting fs

didn't even have to reboot..

haven't tried re enabling yet though .......

I've not had any problems. I have five devices connected and MSFS dosn'tt hold a preference. I have encountered however...

If you select a joystick and then select joystick tab, the first device is re-selected.

In order...Select buttons or axis tab

then normal or slew mode

then the device

Maybe that helps
