What's the deal with Force Feedback Joysticks

Do they they really add a lot more to the adventure of flying and if so how?

They're neat .  They kick around in your hand a bit which, for me, is usually indicative of potential calamity .  You can think of them as one more part of the sensory experience analogous to , say; having sex ( it's all in your head !).     ::)
