Targeting enemy aircraft

Is there a way to target the nearest enemy aircraft?  When I'm in a target rich environment  I'm cycling "next target" like crazy trying to get a plane that I can padlock it takes forever with all the ground targets and stuff.  Hope I'm not missing anything obvious.  Just got CFS3 yesterday.

Nearest target dunno but you can cycle through the target types by hitting the "T" key on your keyboard so that you cycle through vehicles only for instance.
