The latest Air Battle game from Microsoft! Running on an entirely new platform, CFS3 is raising it's fair share of problems & opinions - Good & Bad!

Now if I were you, i'd take my advice and drop the topic. Cause this is nothing compared to the hammering you'd get if you carry on.

from who could that be....
I wonder......
OK topic dropped

CFS3 is perfect, which is why MS cancelled all further CFS's.

There is always an argument:

Myself, I own IL-2 Series, have CFS3, don't like it.

You guys own CFS3 and probably do not like IL2.

I could list why I don't like CFS3, then it would start a flame war, something that I WILL NOT start  8)

Yes CFS3 is a real good Simulator as far as I"am concern. It all depends in what you are looking for in a Simulator.

No its not the best Simulator in World, but never the less its a good one.

No Simulator is perfect and the same goes with this simulator.

Pacific Fighter is good Simulator but so is CFS2 and CFS3 in their own term.

If you do not believe me then you are just fooling your self.

Now lets move to other subject that are more important than this silly one.

Their is to much work to be done to be wasting them in this over stated topic.

Lets enjoy them instead of argueing who has the best program.

Thank you

To give people a reason to argue.  I would suggest the subject be dropped...  ::)

CFS3:

Pros
Terrific flight models, not-so-redundant missions, loads of options and weapon choices, flexible for allowing addons [I just downloaded and installed the Korea Theater Set - loads of fun].

Cons
Requires modifications and tweaks just to get rid of the annoying stutters. Water textures and clouds need some fixing.

Extreme Cons
Open architecture causes players to see strange things from other players while online [ie: a spit flying like a F-86 Sabre, planes going into the ground and not crashing, planes flying backwards] which results in cheating.

I spend a great deal of my time flying the solo missions in the Korean Theater Set. Lots of fun. But when it comes to online play, I would rather spend time with IL-2: FB.

Wrong argument : there are many issues with cfs3 online that makes FB a better choice for the online players.  But there is an in built anti cheat system that requires you to have exactly the same plane than your opponents.
Try this : modify a stock plane's XDP (increase the speed for example), delete the bdp (it will be rebuilt when the sim starts) and try to join a game. You'll get a mismatch.

Other than that, I agree with almost everybody : pointless thread, subject beaten to death. Use the search button if you're looking for the arguments of either side.

I am new to the sim comunity I did have some promblems getting CFS going due to the fact that I had lots of proggrams running in the back ground. With all the controversy I decided to try PF. Sorry but there is very little support for PF compared to CFS3. All the problems and questions I had for MS$ were prombly ansered. Unlike PF or any other UBI product. Also the graphic are not not flexable enough for me. 1280x1024 is not supprorted by PF so the graphics just suck. I have resolved my confilicts with CFS3 which is more then I can say for PF.
