Picking Up CFS3 Again

Postby RichieB16 » Sun May 08, 2005 9:19 pm

OK, to be honest when I first got CFS3 (when it was pretty new) I didn't like it so I never really played it.  The other day I picked it up again and thought I would install it and give it another chance.  Anyway, I have been playing it for a while now and I'm starting to like it.  It took a while for me to get the hang of it but now I think I'm doing good.

My problem is I don't know/understand how to manage a campaign and everytime I try and go into the game's help system it crashes to the desktop-so I'm stuck trying to figure it out on my own.  Basically, I have only been playing for about 2 "months" (I'm in May of 1943) and the front line is already half way into the UK (I'm playing a fighter campaign with USA).  As stupid as it sounds, can you guys who are more experienced with CFS3 give me some advice on how to manage the campaign so I don't end up losing the war by Christmas.  ;D

Thanks.

don't attack shipping, thats totally useless, instead attack factories etc, till your forces invade Europe and you can do some CAS missions

If the enemy is invading, I always fly nonstop CAS missions until thet've been driven out.  Also, another hint: this is kind of cheating, but i always save one skill point, so in case I get shot up and my pilot is seriously wounded, I can just add it to my pilot's health and I'm good as new, instead of wasting thousands of personal prestige points to heal my pilot.

I noticed that too. It saves so much headaches. ;)
