Patch Troubles

I just got CFS 3 out of my shelves again and bought the Firepower Upgrade @ Amazon. However it requires the patch 3.1 to be installed. It's delivered on the CD, and it starts well, but then I will just get a message saying Installation mistake 36 and that the intallation couldn't be finished. I guess this istn't a new problem, since that patch istn't new either. So please, could anybody post the solution?        Thanks

Do you mean the 3.1 update comes on the Firepower CD?  If so, I would try just downloading the patch off the MS website, and then try installing Firepower.

Sorry, i figured that myself. Downloaded the the patch @ the offical site and made shure it was the correct language, too. It didn't help, so that's why I posted this. Am I wrong and this isn't a common problem?

The title of the thread should be "reinstall problems" : the thing is the cfs3 desinstallation leaves some files behind that can screw up a later reinstall.
