can you include download planes into campaigns

i have found a lanc that i wold like to download but i dont know how to go about intergrating into my Britsih campaign. can this be done? and if so how do i do it?

go into your CFS3 campaign folder and open the campign you wish to edit in notepad or wordpad.  Scroll down to the tech tree.  There will be entries like this for all the planes in your campaign:



   

You have to add another one for the aircraft your adding in.  use the name of the aircraft's XDP file for the aircraft type, and the entered service dates is in the XDp file also, on the top line near the right side of the page.  save it and your done.


BTW, where is that Lancaster?  I have never seen one that's freeware.

i have seen one in tha avhistory pages..... well at least i thought i did. thanx for the info by the way.... but can you clafify how i sort the date that it appears. i think i get you so far.

hmmm..... i added a B-17 but it didnt appear at the date specified..... any thoughts???
