hi people i hope someone can help me.i have just bought cfs3 and installed it but i am haveing severe problems with stuttering when playing the game.at the moment i have just tried quick combat but the stuttering is really bad.my system is a p4 3.0 ghz 1gb ram a ati 9800xt. the only way i seem to get any sort off good gameplay is with settings at 2.i have tried the no cd patch and useing the tweeks can anyone help me more with settings

You need to get the 3.1a update from M$http://www.microsoft.com/games/combatfs3/downloads.asp

Also, always change your settings from CFS3 Config.  I can get 15-30 FPS with Aircraft at 5 , terrain and scenery at 3, effects at 4 and clouds at one, and my setup is nowhere near as good as yours.   With your system you should be able to get better frame rates than that with higher settings.  In the overides turn off the intro movie, dual pass rendering, and terrain and scenery lighting.  In texture info, set Composite Aircraft pool and Composite terrain pool to D3DPOOL_SYSTEMMEM.

thanks for your reply i have the 3.1a patch installed allready i wil try the other things mentioned.the main thing that happens is every now and then the game just hangs and freezes for a second or 2 very annoying in a dogfight.
