CFS3 download

Where is a source of aircraft I can download to add to my arsenal in CFS3? In the Simviation Download, there seemed to be a ready source of  aircraft including panels, sound, scenery, etc. for FS 2K, FS2002, and FS2004 but almost non-existent for CFS games.

Besides the downloads here there are alot at http://www.avhistory.com with much improved and realistic flight models.

If you want something comletely different have a look at my website. Teh Dogpatch Crew had assembled a complete Korean War expansion for CFS3. (Sorry but I had to slip in a plug)

??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Ozzy:

I knew about the CFS3 download in Simviation. Unless I'm looking at the wrong page there does'nt seem to have much of a selection. For example, in modern aircraft there were only two and they are both the same type MIGs. I do have several models downloaded for CFS and CFS2 however. Can I use them in CFS3?

Quite a bit of stuff here:

:D
And no, CFS1 & 2 models are not compatible with CFS3 as it uses an all new format.

What do you guys think about the Korean Theater addon by AVSIM for free. The download (84M+) includes Korean vintage aircraft, new sceneries, etc.

Go get it, it's the most complete single addon for CFS3 to date and I don't thin that anybody will top it anytime soon if ever.
If you're into that particular aera you won't miss it out anyway.

I downloaded and installed the CFS3 Korea and it worked great. It's completely separate from the original CFS3. Only problem is when i select "ground attack" in Quick Combat, I have problem with the selection of the location. The selection involves areas in North and South Korea, China and Japan.

I can count 16 pages (about 160 aircraft/skins) of ww2 aircraft for CFS3

No they will not work in CFS3, as for the shortage of aircraft AvHistory has just over 100 CFS3 WWII planes available for download.

I think Bubblehead is more interested in jet powered aircraft.

For what its worth CFS3,  has big problems with the flight model of any jet in the high transonic range.  Compressibility starts to get screwed up as you pass through 580mph. This means you will generally only see good ones up to the Korean War era as planes like the F-100 Super Sabre are outside the games envelope

You can make supersonic jets but they do not fly as they should.

Well, not that I care.  The most advanced plane I'd want is a Ta 183. ;)

Striker:

I saw 16 pages of several varations (skins) of default aircraft for CFS3. I had better and more add-ons for CFS2. I should be able to add models used in the Pacific much as I was able to download a Mig 15 in CFS2. Guess it's simply the limitation of the game itself.
