BF 110 Rear Gunners

Is there any way to reduce the accuracy of the BF 110's rear gunner? It seems unrealistically accurat.  When it is on ace I can close at 200+mph at a high deflection angle and still be hit at 600 yards!

Yep, there is.
Open the aircraft's xdp in notepad or an XML editor.
At the top, in the lines that refer to the Mg81's gunstations reduce the rate limit to something else than the default 60.
25 or 30 may be good values to start with.
when done, save and delete the file with extension bdp.
This will reduce the speed the gunner can rotate the guns.
BTW, helps with aiming when the player has manned the gunstation, but reduces the speed the AI gunners will aim at you.
The next batch of G-4 nightfighters will have their reargunner's accuracy reduced.

This is a problem for all rear gunners. Would prefer not to reduce the plane off ace, but, at rookie the rear gunner is less efficent, but so is his performance in all other aspects.
We went with reducing the rate on the Ju88A4-KG54 to only 17, which will be noticed in the next BoB freeware set, RAF fighter.
Unfortunatly, this reduced rate means your gun turns slower when you are in the Ju88 and desperatly trying to fight of the Brit eager for your demise, as in the current bomber set.
Since we mostly fly against bombers, it seems more important they shoot back in a realistic manner, IMO. Looking forward to the G-4. GC puts out few aircraft, but boy are they good!

I have noticed that the default (as downloaded) BF110 gunners seem to get a high hit ratio but rarely manage to damage anything vital.  I was closing in on a BF110 this afternoon and got about three pages of red FUSELAGE HIT and a couple of AILERON HIT but that was all.  I was able to down that one, finish his wingman and limp home a happy chappy!
