Straffing Parachutes

Postby RitterKreuz » Fri Sep 19, 2003 5:48 pm

I know straffing parachutes is a jerk thing to do, but it's fun!! (Im sick i guess) anyway why no chute shooting in CFS3? anyone remember US Navy fighters or WW2 fighters from back in the day? you can waste the little dudes! you can even fly back by and see guts hanging out on some games!

I dove in one one poor guy and let loose some 30 cal fire on him... maybe 100 round burst... and nothin!

anyone know of patches?

thanks!

Straiffing chutes is not very sporting.

How would you like to be shot while hanging from a piece of silk? Anyone who shoots the people hanging from parachutes should be shot.... From a cannon. :-/

I got shot by a German Pilot in IL-2 Forgotten Battles, once, which was pretty cool.  Except there wasn't any blood or intestines swinging from a cavernous wound in my abdomen.  The animated man just kind of hangs there with his head down.

But it's rather unnerving to see somebody bail out in Forgotten Battles, because the pilot travels straight their the aircraft's empenage.  Trippy.

These are  IMAGINARY MEN, fer chrissakes!  What fun is fighting imaginary men if you can't kill 'em when they are completely helpless?  :D

During WW2 men of the 101st Airborn were scattered all around behind enemy lines.

Not to upset some of our none violent, good natured pansie fliers!  ( they should stick with civilan airliners doing cargo runs in flight Sim Pro)

How about flamming chutes, and all out free falls.    So much for the smooth happy glide to the ground only to find you didn't make it!!

I can't help but think the occasional splat would greatly enhance the realism!!

If you ever see my fight then you'll know i'm no pansie. Most of the time im in a dogfight I am less than 80 yards off the guys tail. When his aircraft disintegrates and he bails out then his adventure ends there. I leave him in peace. I'm also knowen for running out of ammo, opening my canopy and then running into the enemy aircraft and jumping out just before impact. Believe me that looks spectacular! ;D

But yeah, killing a guy while he's trying to kill you; fine
Killing a guy dangling from a parachute; really really crap. :-/

I wonder if you can splater a chute by running into him with an aircraft?

Anyone tried this?   Hey and please remember it's still only a game.
