Saving keyboard assignments

Postby macstu23 » Thu Aug 28, 2003 10:15 am

Hello there. I've been playing the CFS series for a while now but I'm new to CFS 3. Probably like many others I spent quite a bit of time meticulously configuring my keyboard and joystick controls to get them just the way i like. Then, unfortunately, I had to do a re-install and start all-over again. It made me think, is there a way I can save all my current customised key assigments ? I had a look through various files in the CFS3 main folder but nothing stood out as obvious. Maybe I missed something. Does anyone know which files I'd have to copy ? And...oh yeah...Cant wait to fly this Lancaster bomber I've been reading about. Any word on when its due for release ? Other than that...look forward to flying around with you lot.
Cheers.

to save them.... I use the same set up for all 3 CFS sims.  So in that , I have  in CFS3 set my settings ( first by naming them  to my name) then set and save.

Oh yeah...well....thats not quite what i meant. I know how to save the settings. what i meant was...what file in the main folder does it come under ?, 'cause I cant find it...Doesnt matter anyway, I just backed up the whole lot and burned it to disk. Thought there might have been some file with a big pointer that says 'keyboard and joystick assignments' with all my personal configuration settings on it...but it doesnt make itself obvoius. Not to worry, I'm sure I got it. Cheers anyway.
