Novice's question.  I installed the Panther and Bearcat as described into CFS3 but these two planes only show up under the Great Britain flag, not the USA.  Why?  I unzipped and copied the aircraft folder into the CFS3 Aircraft folder.  Did I miss someother step?

JayS, the CFS3 Nationality Expansion Kit is a freeware kit by Rick Rutherford.  When installed, it adds many more nationalities to CFS3 that can be used to add aircraft that from different countries and, in your case, the USN.  It is avaiable here:

Aeroplane Heaven ( www.aeroplaneheaven.com ) has some freeware planes for CFS 3, like the Bf 109E
Some standalone versions of that plane done by Tom Stovall, his site is in your list allready
