JonVic,
Wait a little while longer and you should be able to pick up a copy of CFS3 from the "Bargain Bin" at BestBuy for just a couple bucks. :D
Are you this cautious in all of your purchases? It's only a combat flight simulator/game. Excuse me if I'm out of line because perhaps you're really strapped for money but frugality has its downside too, like denying yourself the pleasure of the combat flight simulator while you drag your feet as to when or whether to buy it.
To get any recently released flight simulator to play well you're going to need a pretty fast computer. I have a P4_2.6GHz, 512MBs of RDRAM and a Radeon 9700 Pro (3Dmark2001 SE benchmark = 14,237) and although CFS3 runs fairly well on it I sure wish that it would run a lot better. Even with a top of the line P4_3.2GHz, 1GB of RAM and a Radeon 9800 Pro which benchmarks in the mid 17,000s you still won't be able to max out everything in your video card's control panel and CFS3's display options under all circumstances and not suffer some annoying framerate slowdowns. Flight simulators are notorious for being resource hogs, it's the nature of the beast.
You can pick up a used copy at Amazon for as low as $17.99 or a brand new copy for $28.99. I imagine Ebay probably has a copy or two for around $5.00.

Good luck.
