My question is simple: What exactly are stabo bombs for? Do they do anything special? I haven't really noticed a differnce.

A stabo has a sting at the tip to prevent it from bouncing over the ground. Used against Infantry and light armor mainly along dense frontlines.

Like Mathias said. The good thing about preventing them from bouncing on the ground before exploding is for low altitude bombing. Suposely this will help preventing bomb fragments from hiting the plane.

Bombs in this game bouce before exploding? I sure haven't noticed that, and I follow the bombs down every time I drop them just to check my aim.
