I know that I need to get a joystick, but for now, does anybody know how to use the mouse as the stick like in CFS2? Does this game even let you do this?

I dont think that's possible. I tried that with FS 2002 and mouse is just available for clicking things on the panel.

I use a Logitech Wingman 3d.. it's fairly cheap, and works well for my experience.

It's the same I use. I like it. I wasn't usted to play with force feed back joysticks, it makes aiming much more chalenging. Unless I make really smooth corrections the joystick feedback makes it very hard to aim.
