mission builder shortcut

Postby jimski » Sun Apr 13, 2008 7:24 pm

I had a computer crash, saved all my csf2 stuff except I can't remember how to set up a desktop shortcut to Mission Builder. Anybody out there remember?

OK, I searched way back to 2004 and found the answer. (Jeez, has it been that long?)

"Send a shortcut of the cfs2.exe file too your Desktop. Then change the Target under the Properties tab too...

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 2\cfs2.exe" /BUILDER:

You should now be able to access the Mission Builder

Regards,
Stratobat"

I found the typing has to be exactly as above for caps, spacing and punctuation. It works!

Jimski, go to your Tool Bar at the bottom of your window.

1.Press on Start with your Mouse

3.Press on All Programs

4.A new window will be display with of all the programs you haved install on your PC

5.Scroll to Microsoft games and press on it

6.Combat flight Simulator 2 will display. Press on it!

7.Scroll over to CFS2 Mission Builder and activate it by pressing on it with your mouse

Start building Missions

PS after your have actvated it it wil show up again when you open it the next time as one of your favorite when you press Start. It will show up in a colunm on top of START. MAKE A SHORT CUT and place it where ever you want it for easy access. You can also change its name as well!

I hope I have been helpful

All my start menu was lost when I had to reinstall windows, including the link to cfs2 and mission builder. But I remembered mission builder is somehow part of the basic program which I knew was safe. I didn't want to reinstall cfs2 with the disks not knowing what that would do to my add ons. I guess reinstalling cfs2 will leave the add ons as they were?

It's been years since I've reinstalled over an existing copy of CFS2 but if I remember right the reinstall won't effect any of your addons, such as new planes or sceneries,
