Available Aircraft?

Postby nanuuq » Mon Dec 03, 2007 2:46 am

Dear CFS2ers:

Can you tell me if there are the following aircraft for free download for CFS2?

1. Bucker 131 or 133, I know there are some for FS98 and FS2004,
2. Fiat CR.20,
3. Letov S.20L, and,
4. Lockheed Vega 5B, I know this is available for FS2004.

If you can find any for FS95/98 or CFS1 they can be prepped for CFS2; haven't found any on this site, myself.
Are you sure you mean Fiat CR.20 rather than the B.R.20 bomber? A CR.20 designation would have been in the biplane era (1930s); employed in Libya and Abyssinia theaters and supplied to Hungary and Lithuania.

Dear H:

Yes, I mean Fiat CR.20.

If I find these aircraft how do you convert them for CFS2?

If they were made for CFS1 they should work (with, perhaps, a few minor changes); for FS95 or FS98 you may need some files added (.dp, etc.).

FS2000 aircraft would be more suitable for CFS2. They would all benefit from patching with Tcdfsview & the MDL Converter tool.

Unfortunately I can't find any on your list except for an FS98 Lockheed Vega 5B. I haven't tried it in CFS2. http://www.simviation.com/fs98vintage22.htm

Amelia's plane will work but it was a mess of zips inside of the zip; no seperate folders so make your main Aircraft folder (Vega_2) then the model, panel, sound and texture folders inside it first; place the appropriate zips within each and extract within the folders. If you wish it unarmed or armed properly, it will need a dp; without its own it utilizes the CFS2 default dp and blazes muzzle fire from midair below the wings, shells falling from nowhere.

Dear H:

Thank you for the tips on the Vega 5B. I will try it sometime this week.

For the info, I've made up damage profiling for unarmed and armed versions (also edited the cowling texture for the armed version).
