FS2ers:Aircraft Install Problem????????

Dear CFS2ers:

I have installed various aircraft/ships/scenery hundreds of times in the past. For some reason I am having trouble installing a couple of aircraft.

I installed the D.510 (Sorry, I do not know the owner right now) and it is in "Quick Combat" but I cannot find it for "Mission Creator"?

Also, I installed a Chinese I-16 Type 10 (Cannot remember the creator again) and everytime I try to use it in either Quick Combat" or "Mission Creator" the simulator freezes, the screen goes black,  and a window pops up stating something that there has been an error in CFS2 and it must turn off? I checked the error in the error report and it states, "C:DOCUM~1\MYNAME~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\bc18_appcompat.txt".

Any help is greatly appreciated

the reason the D.510 may not showing up its because its probaly a Ai plane. It will show in the Mission builder Ai selection. As for the I-16 Freezing the PC is probable because its MLD or Sounds are not compatible with your PC capabilities.

The good news is that are several I-16 and D.510 available for this Sim. So if one of them is giving you problem you can always try another AC of the same Model.

Just spotted this. Open the DP file of the D.510 in Notepad & check the entered_service= entry under the [MISC_DATA] section. The date must be earlier than the date of your mission or it won't be listed in the MB.
