Correct ! However I am Flight leader and all flight leaders are known as "Firsts" or "One" hince, "1st Lieutenant". So let me fill you in on Navy some standards you can't Google at home in the US. Matter of fact I'm one of three Lieutenants in the entire navy that are flight leaders. the rest are Lieutenant Commanders, Commaders, and Captains, thats O-3, 0-4, and 0-5. And if you go back and look at my Squadron picture you will only see 17 pilots in flight suits because Our squadron Commander was still at Lemoore Naval air station with his wife having his second child. The picture was taken 45 miles off the coast of California. Heres's some more Info that you probably don't know we are one of 10 Squadrons that fly the Marine Corps Version of the F/A-18 Charged with not only shacking air targets but close air support for US navy SEAL teams as well as Army and Marine forces on the ground.  Were also all Top Gun Graduates since they reopened the school a few years back after the Joint Cheifs of Staff decided that our next projected wars will be fought close to the sea known as the "littoral combat area". Like a little place called North Korea. Their entire ability to make war like rail roads and highways are so close to the coast they can be easily hit with naval gunfire at ranges less than a hundred miles out. our role is changing to Air to Air combat again due the fact that NK has an air force to be reckoned with. they have Russian built Mig-21 Fishbanes, Mig-25, Mig-39, and a few Su-27 super flankers. however we were told just today that 2 groups of F-22's are close by to deter that moron Kim Jung whatever. We all here aboard the Stennis hope that the U.N won't but our boys in a blockade situation because will lose some great men on those ships charged with enforcing it. By the way has anyone heard anything on that matter the Navy Times doesn't talk much about it and we really don't get anything but CNN sports news. by the way Av History if you have any more comments on my picks at me fell free.

"Russian built Mig-21 Fishbanes"  actually its a "FISHBED"

The MiG-25 fighter series are known by the NATO codename Foxbat and are in service in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, India, Iraq, Algeria, Syria and Libya, but not with North Korea.

The MIG 39 is not in production.

Noth Korea has 29 MiG-29s, 35 MiG-23MLs, 120 MiG-21F-13/PFMs and MiG-21bis, 40 J-6s, 100 MiG-15s, and 100 J-5s in intercept units.

Operational Conversional units are also equipped with 5 MiG-29UBs, 10 MiG-23UBs, 20 MiG-21Us, 30 MiG-15UTI (a large part of which is also used by the Air Force Academy), and 25 FT-5s. Offensive units are equipped with 36 Su-25K/UBKs, 20 Su-7BMKs, an unknown number of A-5s, and 85 H-5 bombers.

Like the MIG 25 no SU-27's are there.

I guess that's your story & you are sticking to it 1st Lt which should be Lt Junior Grade.

In the USN a "flight" is up to 8 aircraft.

I have also wondered about this since the first post in which he mentions his "FA-18D Super Hornet".  The D model is not a Super Hornet.  That only refers to the E or F models.

A word about USSCVN74pilot what a shameful man this member turn out to be. He should be more than embarase for trying to fool other members by trying to impersonate a real Pilot in our Navy. Men and women who are risking their lives for our sake through a PC in a forum dedicated to a nobel hobby.

I do not regret what I wrote in previously post obout how I feel about our service men in the list bit.

If anything its this member who should be ashame.

I am an old military man myself, and after some few posts, i could not help thinking:
