Hi guys,

Is it possible just to have the ETO scenery in the 2nd
install of cfs2 ,  or will it need the default scenery to run ?
And will the same hold true for the missions ?

I'm about ready to start & getting excited about it , & many thanks to you both for your help !

I do not understand your question. Do you mean if the original sceneries from the Pacific will be there?

The answer is yes!

Once you install a new scenery it will overide the original and you will only see the new install scenery instead. Is that what you mean?

Just remember to install one scenery at a time and do not install to many at the same time. That may create conflicts between sceneies.

Just install one at a time and test it. After you feel satisfy that it gave you the the statifaction you desire then you install the next one.

Remember to backup every thing before you go on installing new sceneries. This way you can ensure yourself that if something goes wrong you can always go back to your backup and fix it.

The answer is yes and no!

You will always have the original scenery but you have configurated to your likeing.

Another tip is to place all original scenery setting on top of the list and then place the new scenery in the middle and the mesh at the bottom.

It just works better this way.

If you have any more questions please come back and ask.

Remember even if you are not interested there are many Beautiful upgraded seneries for the Pacific as well.

I love Sitz whole world F9 convertion to CFS2 scenery a lot. It give that part of the World a new improve life.

Check this Website. Its dedicated by its designer for the improvement of sceneries in Europe .

We as a communitty are very lucky that have so many talented scenery designers for the benefit of the community.

Another tip is for you to take your time in improving CFS2. It may take months or seasons before you will near where you want it to look and feel. Do not bee in a hurry because there are just to many upgrades for this Sim and you may end up frustrated.

I leave the defult scenery stuff mainly cos i'm not sure how much it'd mess the game up, i spose you could delete all the airfield entrys so the airfields dont show up when ya pic a place to fly  :)

Is it possible just to have the ETO scenery in the 2nd? You bet it is :), its basicly just like the pacific, you can add/remove airfields, mesh, landclass, ground textuers etc  :)

OK,

It all sounds like good advice !!
I've been adding & testing scenery for about 2 1/2 years now , so finally I think it's done to my liking.
I fly cfs1 also , so I decided to take advantage of the cfs2 graphics & besides , so many things are coming out for the ETO ,   so why not ?

Many Thanks to you both !

Blondi there are several ways of doing this. You can make a copy of Combat flight Simulator 2 in another folder and call it Combat flight Simulator 2 original as your backup or reinstall Combat flight Simulator 2 over the your already install CFS2.

Third option is for you to just a make a copy the specific folder you want to safe in a another folder as the original.

This will safe you hard drive space. I have never backed up the original secenery since I"am trying to improve it in the first place. But once

You dont need to backup the stock scenery if you doing an ETO scenery as CFS2 stock only covers the PTO  :)
