Richarduk welcome to this hooby and this forum. I wish I could help you but unfortunualy the VB planes are located in Sim-Outhouse Website. At this time they are having problems. Once its up I will give you the address.

There are many Spitfire right here in this Website and at Netwings as well. Check them out.

Have you search in here:http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=cfs2;action=display;num=1117604819

In this post there are many Websites Large and small dedicated to this Hooby. I hope you enjoy this information.

Please come back with what ever question you may have.

Remember there are no dumb questions but the only dumb questions are one you do not ask.

PS this the quote for this Sim:

EUROPEAN THEATER+pacific theater=World war two
                         WRONG!

PACIFIC THEATER+european theater=World war two
                         WRONG!

EUROPEAN THEATER+PACIFIC THEATER=WORLD WAR TWO                   RIGHT

Richard I believe the VB planes are here:http://www.combatfs.com/index.php?loc=downloads&page=downloads&FileUploadName=graham

Remember Sim-outhouse is having problem right now. Wait until Wensday. Hopefully they will up by then.

PS give us the best Battle of Brirain ever. To me the most exciting period in World war two was from 1939 to late 1942. After that every one knew the war was probably going to be won by the Allies. From 1943 to 1945 it was just sluggfest of destruction and death with little doubt who was going to win.

Take your time and give us your best. Remember to backup your CFS2 install. That way it will save you from a lot of headaches.

Thanks again james. Its interesting you say to back up CFS2 install.Ive never thought of doing that as I only have around 80 planes in the hanger and have only made around 40 missions. Most of these are based around south england as I live only 4kms from the famouse middle wallop air field. How do you suggest I go about backing up or do you mean create extra installs.Any help I will be happy with.Richard.

Richard there are two ways of doing this. One is by creating a new folder and calling whatever you want. For example you can call it CFS2 Europe. Go to the Folder you are using Combat Flight Simulator 2. Copy its content into the new folder by pasting its content in the new folder.

The other way is by renaming the original folder with another name. For example you can change the name from Combat Flight Simulator 2 to CFS2 Europe of you orginal install folder.

That way when try to play the program it wont recognize the game is still install and it will ask you if want to install it. You just install the program again but in a different folder. You see the program reads the name of the folder to see if its install. Once you change the name of the folder it thinks it has not been install and it will ask if you want to install CFS2.

There is a post by member call Hagar that

Coyotes how to make missions:http://www.simviation.com/lair/ccmbintro1.htm

How to reinstall over a already install program by Hadgar:http://www.simviation.com/lair/cfs2faq.htm

How to install over one thousand planes throught different Hangars:http://fly.to/mwgfx
The program is call ACman. Its in the CFS2 section, Utilities.
Tip remember you need the 18 original planes in every new Hangar for it to work properly. You always can give the original planes in the new Hangar, new texures just for fun.

I hope I have been helpful

Just remember
EUROPEAN THEATER+PACIFIC THEATER=WORLD WAR TWO    RIGHT

Enjoy this program

This is only the begning. The more you learn the more fun it will become.

This is sounding better all the time james.I think Ill go with the rename and then re install option. That way I can have my ETO on my desk top as well as PTO.Is it possible to remove some of the scenery from PTO to give me more room and less CPU usage on my ETO.Im not running the fastest computer on the planet and sometimes think I over do it.At the moment for ETO im only using the english channel and south of England but with runways, chainhome,London, and infrastructure I find I have to lower my setting to keep up a decent frame rate[30-35fps].I think another problem is the aircraft I use.For major battles I use converted CFS1 bombers as I can put 30 to 40 of them in the air at once but I tend to use quite detailed fighters. This certaily slows it down.Any sugestions on which are the frame rate friendly plane makers. My VB mk2a causes no trouble at all even in sqd strength.Keep up the advice. As you can see Im just learning. Thanks again.Richard

Yes Ricard you can do do improve the performance of your PC.

Here is Website you can use that have some nice easy on Frame rate planes:http://www.raf662.com/modules.php?name=Downloads

Another thing you can do is have PC in top condition by defracting it often. Keep your Vedio setting at Mid range where you still enjoy it but it wont effect your FR very much. Keep the sounds from low to mid range. Sound takes a lot of PC resources. Keep your voice sound very low. If your flying for the RAF you do not need for Written Messages.

This are some of the common suggestions I can give you now.

You can remove the stock pacific airfields by going in to the SCENEDB\afdfiles\scenery folder and deleting the cfs2.bgl (I think thats what its called) and filelist.dat

The Pacific airfields will still show up in the mission builder airfield list, you can remove those if you want to, just say so and I'll tell ya how.

You see what I mean. We can always learn from each other. How do you Brandon remove the European Airfield as well. I would like my European CFS2 install to only have European Airfield and my Pacific Theater to only have Pacific Airfields.

Thank you Brandon

Hi James,

PTO: Open up your Airbases.dat file and delete all the airfields with "*" after their name. I believe the last CFS1 airfield is "Croydon*". Next, open up your Opareas.dat file and delete the "European Theatre" line. Now you will have no European airfields or Europe Operating area in your Pacific Theatre Install.

ETO: Open up your Airbases.dat file and delete all the airbases after "Croydon*"... DO NOT delete the small square at the very end of the file. Now, if you want to you can open up your opareas.dat file and delete everything except "European Theatre", Be warned... if you do this mission builder will still start in the pacific. If I remember correctly you need to select "new Mission" and then click the Operating Areas button and select "European Theatre", this way you don't get a CTD.
