fire rockets

Postby papa-metro » Sun Jan 15, 2006 7:01 am

After years of fs2000 & 02 I have just started cfs2 ... have found  no way to fire rockets w/joystick (4button) or keys. Is it because I'm using the choice of flight sim controls? I have tried to reassign function in CONTROLLER ASSIGNMENTS ...

In CFS2 you have to arm external weapons before firing/dropping them. Using the FS/CFS1 keyboard layout, cycle through the available weapons with Shift+3. This will be displayed on the onscreen text. Then Fire the selected weapon with 3. These are the keyboard numbers, not Num Pad. You can also assign these commands to spare buttons on your joystick.

Standard CFS2 is backspace to cycle through ordanance and enter to fire. Buttons 3 and 4 on your joystick inless you've changed the defaults.

That's the Combat keyboard Woody. papa-metro stated that he's using the alternative FS/CFS1 layout.

Ah. Didn't see that bit. No harm in him knowing the alternatives anyway. ;D

Indeed. To avoid possible confusion I copied this from CFS2 Help.

If you're only carrying rockets Shift+3 once followed by 3 should fire them.
