I subgest you fy in CFS2 as well since that will give you more experience in flying different planes that other wise you would not bee able to fly.
CFS3 is still a good Simulator but I do not think they the developers will ever do the Pacific Theater. Thats fine with me since I have CFS2 and Pacific Fighter to represent that theater and fly in.
Hadgar CFS2 did come with European landing points as airbases.
Hey guys as far I'm concern they are all fun Sims. Lets just enjoy them all.
I did not know about CFS1 World map. I wonder why they not do the same with CFS3.

Not sure where you got them but they're not default. I just checked my fresh install of CFS2 & it has no European airfields listed on the Free Flight menu or in the Mission Builder.
Actually if you go into the mission builder and click the "create new mission" button in the top left and corner and select the european theatre from the list of avaliable areas you will see airfields marked out. However they are little more than symbols as there is nothing at any of the locations. My belief is that it's left over from CFS1 but by no means is it a bad thing.
Shows how rusty I am. I had an idea they were there somewhere. I suspect you're correct & these are simply the locations of the CFS1 airfields with no runways or accurate scenery.
Ahem, M$ added the CFS1 runway locations to the airbases.dat.
If someone bothers to remember I made them accessable from the ingame menu and someone else added NDB's and stuff to it.
Should be available somewhere here at Simviation and Netwings IIRC.
But it was so long ago. I can barely remember what I had for breakfast.![]()
