Saving Changes in Mission Builder

Postby Gringo6 » Thu Oct 06, 2005 8:15 pm

I am  trying to install PSP (Perforated Steel Panels) on the runway at Henderson Field. I can do it on an individual mission basis but I'd like to do it one time and have it appear that way in Free Flight as well as in the Missions.

I don't seem to be able to do this now.

Can someone out there tell me how to change the files to reflect this change, and what files to change ?

Well Bill,

I'm by no means a scenery expert, but... you can download FSSC, follow the mini tutorial, then build your own airfield... or, for missions, you can save the position of the buildings as a "layout", I'm not sure how to make a layout. I'm sure Chris (MaskRider) or Bombardier can help you ALOT better than I could ever do.

Good Hunting,

Hi Gringo,

Bombardier to the rescue! ;D

You need to do it with a simple technique called GSL or another way with FSSC (see below). It's very easy if you have the right program.

To get Martin Wright's GobTools:

You must email him mailto:mnwright@btinternet.com and ask him to email you his GSL tools.

But when you email him, don't forget to add the word Developer in the subject line to avoid it getting removed by the spam filter!

Where this info came from: http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/dev/dev.htm

It comes with instructions on how to use the tools with Mission Builder to make your own GSL scenery which will appear whenever you do missions, Quick Combat or Free Flight. It's permanent but you might actually loose the stock Henderson GSL objects when adding PSP as both of them would cross over the same GOB area and your new PSP runway GSL scenery would overwrite the stock Henderson scenery. In this case get FSSC (see my Netwings posts by James in the topic New member needs help! because in one post I say where you can get FSSC!), get the coordinates (N/S W/E) for the Henderson runway, get the heading for the runway and add a runway into FSSC at the coords bla bla bla bla bla, I'm sorry this will take very long to explain, so you will have to see FSSC's help and learn how to use it ;)

I hope this helps you out,

Bombardier

I have FSSC so I'll try it that way - Thanks to both of you.
