Ocean Fury released

Postby Hagar » Sun Apr 17, 2005 1:16 pm

The latest Fox Four campaign is finally ready to go. ;) Come & get it here. http://www.simviation.com/lair/cfs2korea.htm
I've sent Pete the details & it should be featured on the main site soon.

You will be flying with the Royal Navy from HMS Ocean in a Hawker Sea Fury. Here's a few shots.

If anything is not clear or you have any problems, please mail one of the team from the Contacts page on the site, not here on the forum. It's all been carefully tested but we could have missed something so feedback is appreciated. Many thanks to our beta testers, including HawkerTempest, Ozzy & WillF from SimV. We hope you enjoy it. :)

Really superb  :)

The Sea Fury is really brilliant.

Nice touch to, to add the Meteor and Skyraider AI aircraft.

Congratulations to all who contributed to it.  :)

Having had the privilege of being one of the beta-testers I have to say this is without a doubt the best CFS2 campaign I've ever flown! And I've done a few.
So go download it now and get blasting over Korea ;)

I just downloaded it. It's a great plane to fly.

Hi Poppa_J. I can't answer this right now as we will need to investigate. If you mail me or one of the team from the Contact page on the Fox Four website maybe we can figure it out.  Attach your Error.log if possible. Might be best to zip it up first.

You will get much quicker results by e-mail as we can't possibly check all the forums.

Hey Hagar,
It's another winner for FOX FOUR, i had to get a fresh instal of CFS2 to get it in tho' the C3 kept stumbling on the auto instal, new CFS2 & no problems, flying it on 'easy' at the moment (until i find Tom's suprises!! trucks on the runway threw me on the HUNTERS !!!)

Thanks for the kind words chaps. We've had very few reported bugs so far so please let us know if you're having problems. We can usually sort them out pretty quickly.

Hi Happ. Not sure why you had this problem. The only time we had a minor hiccup during testing was when the self-extractor was trying to overwrite Read-only files. We tracked this one down to a beta version of one of our aircraft being already installed to our tester's CFS2. I don't know what it might be in your case but I'm glad you fixed it. ;)

So when will there be a package where when you fire a missle, it'll actually be a "Fox Four!", as in Fox Three is a Sidewinder, Fox Two is a Maverick, etc etc.. ::)

Great work, Doug. I'm itching to give her a run. ;)

That brings something to mind though, why did you change your username from Grumpy1 to Hagar Doug?

Just completed the Ocean Fury campaign, and I would like to congratulate all those who participated in its development. It is one beautiful piece of work!! Just when I think CFS2 is getting a bit stagnant, along comes a group of folks who literally re-invent the game.

While I'm at it, thanks to everyone involved in developing new add-ons. Unlike some M$ software, I am truly getting a good return on my investment in CFS2.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. We're delighted you're enjoying the new campaign. That's what it's all about. :D

It seemed like a good idea at the time. ::) ;)
