it doesnt come with an aircraft you are going to need to open it and use the dp entries which are snipits from the dp. just copy and paste them to the appropriate areas and you should get the same messages. i would just change the wildcat since it uses the problematic 100lb bomb. the weapons are pretty nice and the bombs actually look like bombs and not green teardrops ;D i manually changed all my default and addon aircraft to carry them. my other favorite download is the midway shore bombardment project i have modded the fx for them even more so now i have sparks that blow out from it and look like they're buring on the ground. ;D ;D

OK. If these are the default aircraft they should work. I'll try that Wildcat & see what happens.

You don't have to stick to the included examples. With a little knowledge of DP editing you can add these weapons to any aircraft you wish.

yeah i know that. ;D you should see my P-47 it carries a 2000lb on the center hardpoint and with my other planes like the Beaufighter i put weapons from the spitpack because i love the triplex rockets. :) i also have figured out why you cant program salvoes. i seen some people can't figure it out. i havent changed my aircraft because i do not know where to go. but i might be able to simplify...some A/C have programmed bombbays that wont except the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 weapon release code because u are using more than one bombbay. If you could change the mounts and maybe the boxes ??? you could change the way the bombs drop. i have noticed with my flyable B-24 the bombbays can contain
4-=- 500lb bombs, i have tried the 1,2,3,4,5,6 type code for weapon release but it only drops 4 bombs at a time.
What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....

Works fine for me as you can see.

I also tried the torpedo on the B-25 with the same result. If you're certain you installed the weapons package & also edited the DP file correctly make sure to delete the corresponding CDP file. Get into the habit of doing this each time you modify a DP file. That's the only thing I can think of that would cause a problem.

PS. I still don't know what you mean about compressed files. They all look fine to me. It might be an idea to download the file again.

well mister big shot. ;) lol just kidding! i did re-download it and i didnt know to delete the .CDP i thought it was something crucial. as for compression u know how when u use winzip or GCS u can change the compression its the same thing but with a different file type. it just makes the files smaller for moving them. if any of the names are blue and not black (default) ight click,,,properties,,, advanced,,,, compress or uncheck to decompress

I unzipped the file in the usual way with no problems at all. I use the right-click Extract to folder ........ option.

If you delete the CDP a new one will be created when you use the weapons on that aircraft.

It should be possible to drop all your bombs at the same time. Read the instructions with that Spitpack or MW's other weapons pack carefully.

??? i tried it again i went in and deleted CDP's and checked DP's and checked scenedb. i cant figure it out i did it the same way as you and i place all the files where they should be. i guess the textures aren't showing up for them. in scenedb the only files i have for th 30lb bomb is db_us_bombs_30lb.. here is a snipit of db from the wildcat see if u find anything.. :)
[PAYLOAD.1]
mount.2=wep_us_wildcat_drop_gp, 1, -1
mount.4=wep_us_wildcat_drop_gp, 1, -1

[PAYLOAD.2]
mount.1=wep_pylon_ja_wing, 1, -1
mount.5=wep_DB_us_100lb_GP_d, 1, 6
mount.3=wep_pylon_ja_wing, 1, -1
mount.6=wep_DB_us_100lb_GP_d, 1, -1

[PAYLOAD.3]
mount.1=wep_pylon_ja_wing, 1, -1
mount.5=wep_DB_us_250lb_GP_b, 1, 6
mount.3=wep_pylon_ja_wing, 1, -1
mount.6=wep_DB_us_250lb_GP_b, 1, -1
the 250lber and fuel tanks show and work right

The payload entries can be copied direct from the sample DP entry included with the weapons pack. [PAYLOAD.0]

I doubt very much that it's anything to do with your computer. If the other weapons in the library work you must have installed it properly. This only leaves one possibility. You didn't update the DP correctly.

It's very easy to make a simple mistake. The best way over it would be to start all over again. It's always a good idea to take a backup copy of files before modifying them so I hope you did that.

Just to make sure you installed it correctly here's a list of files you should have in their various locations.

db_us_weapons.bgl in CFS2\SCENEDB\weapons\scenery

13 x BMP textures in CFS2\SCENEDB\weapons\texture

37 x DP files in CFS2\OBJECTS_DP

I really see nothing wrong with the default weapons. As these are replacements for the defaults I wouldn't bother with them myself. It's just possible there might be some sort of conflict if you have other 3rd party weapons libraries installed. Otherwise I'm out of suggestions.

I still can't figure out what you're saying about compressed files. The zipfile extracted perfectly normally for me. I checked all the files & found nothing unusual about any of them.

lol some programs compress files to make them smaller for moving. sometimes other programs cant recall them when compressed. u can also manually compress files, why would you i dont know.

as for Wep_db it was the first addon i downloaded and it didnt work then and doesn't work now.
>havent tried to fix yet, still not aware of myself after todays session of high school<

EDITED>>> hey if u want check my mission here.. it's brand spankin new i think it is not that bad and the carrier landing mission is quite difficult 8)

I take it this fixed it. I did suggest downloading the file again some time ago. ;)

You're quite correct so I can't help there.

I don't see the need to use different utilities for extracting files. If you have WinZip I suggest you stick to it. The Right-click Extract to folder ...... option is all I've used for over 6 years wthout a single problem.
